The biggest ATV poker ride in British Columbia will be coming to Merritt, attracting hundreds of quad riders from across the province.
City Council agreed to support the seventh annual ATVBC Poker Ride, set for June 25, following a presentation from the organization.

The stars will be shimmering in Merritt, as Sayso presents a solid lineup of talent at Iron Mountain Music this Saturday night.
The Sayso Expression Society is hosting two bands, made up of present and former Merritt residents and is a way to raise the exposure of Iron Mountain Music and the Capital Soundstage.

Nicola Valley Thun-der lacrosse teams officially begin their regular season play this coming weekend.
The peewees get the ball rolling with a road game Saturday in Vernon at 4 p.m. The team has 16 registered players, and is coached by Pete Woodland and Shane Simon.
