The Merritt Herald has served Merritt and the Nicola Valley since 1905. The Herald takes pride in its role and strives to serve its community better in all aspects. Every Tuesday and Thursday the Herald presents news, community events, and sports. In 2001 we were proud to bring home to our community the top honors in the Canadian Community Newspaper Association's annual newspapers competition as best newspaper in the country in its circulation class for the second straight year.
