NATIONAL ABORIGINAL DAY
National Aboriginal Day at Rotary Park in Merritt on Thursday featured an assortment of activities and a high turnout. The temperature hovered around the mid-20 C, which lured children and dogs to the water park. Cars were parked along Voght Street to accommodate the many people who came out to get a taste of the bannock, salmon, ice cream and various other treats. The day is meant to celebrate Canada’s aboriginal people’s culture, heritage and achievements.
