Dear Editor,
Kudos to Coun. Kurt Christopherson for altering his motion at the March 25 council meeting so that the offensive tagline “Country with attitude” was taken out of the running once and for all. Thank you to the city council for approving it unanimously. A huge thank you to Coun. Christopherson for listening to the people you represent. Also to be commended is Dawn Chypyha, who circulated a petition against the tagline throughout Merritt and gathered over 1,000 signatures.
