The Nicola Valley Minor Lacrosse Association will be holding its annal general meeting tonight at the Central Elementary School lunchroom, starting at 7 pm. On the agenda will be reports from each of the association’s directors as well as the election of an executive for the upcoming 2012 season.
The highly-successful NVMLA has been in existence for six years. During that time, the association has seen several of its Thunder teams win Okanagan titles and go on to compete at provincial championships.
The indoor lacrosse season runs from April – June of each year. However, drop-in training and practices for next year have already begun. Sessions are held on Wednesdays at the Bench Elementary School gymnasium with 5-10 year-olds (born in 2002-2007) from 7-8 pm, and 11 year-olds and older (born in 2001 or earlier) from 8-9 pm.
