Highland Valley Copper Mine tour

Highland Valley Copper Mine, located just outside Logan Lake, conducts daily tours from May 15 to August 24.

Early reservations are recommended as these tours are popular and seating is limited.

For safety reasons, only children twelve and over are permitted on the tours.

On B.C. Day, Highland Valley Copper opens its doors to the public. Visitors will be invited to participate in four different tours which include the Lomex and Valley pits, a tour of mine maintenance and the extensive reclamation project at the Bethlehem mine site across the highway.

A tour of the mill will show the process of transforming crushed rock into copper ore concentrate and molybdenum.

Children will enjoy prospecting for ore or being hoisted up on a mine rescue stretcher.

There will be a science and magic show inside the big tent as well as other activities, balloons, hot dogs, refreshments and numerous static displays. Parents will enjoy the day as much as their children.
