The Merritt Mustangs won two of the three divisions in their own seventh annual hockey tournament at the Shulus arena on the Nov. 14 and 15 weekend.
In the men’s division, the Mustangs defeated the Warriors 8-5 in the final. A second Mustangs team also won the masters’ category, edging Alkali Lake 3-2 in the championship game.
In an all-Kamloops final in the women’s division, the Jets narrowly defeated the Lucky Loggers by a 3-2 score. A total of 10 teams took part.
