Police are searching for suspects after a break-in last Sunday at NMV Lumber on Pooley Avenue.

Two men gained entrance to one of the lumber yard’s buildings and stole some equipment.

“They had a break-in but there is video surveillance,” said RCMP Const. Tracy Dunsmore.

According to NMV Lumber owner Harjeet Sander, a surveillance camera on the property spotted the two men at about 9 a.m. that day, and again at 3 p.m. An alarm was set off at about 5 p.m. when a door to one of the buildings was broke open.

The break-in resulted in about $3,000 in stolen goods and damages combined.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage, and a screenshot of one of the suspects has been released to the media.

Anyone who can identify the suspects is asked to call the Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
