Former Merritt RCMP Cpl. Benjamin “Monty” Robinson has been sentenced to two years minus a day after being convicted of perjury earlier this year.
Robinson was one of four police officers involved in the death of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver airport in 2007.
The testimony he gave at the inquiry following the incident was deemed to be false.
Along with the jail time, Robinson was also sentenced to a year of probation and 240 hours of community service.
