Merritt RCMP are seeking suspects after a Telus vehicle was damaged on the 1400 block of Douglas Street some time overnight on Nov. 6.

On the morning of Nov. 7 The employee using the van discovered that someone had slashed the tires, dumped paint and feces on the hood and windshield and wrote derogatory comments on the vehicle.

Police are hoping to access surveillance footage from the area to help identify possible suspects.

“There was potentially a person of interest we will be having a chat with. But, at the same time given all that went on it is pretty disturbing. when you are throwing paint and fecal matter on a vehicle, slashing tires and whatnot, it is a bit over the top,” said Staff. Sgt. Lorne Wood. “Definitely somebody with some issues and an axe to grind.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
