The BC Coroners Service has identified the man killed in an accident on Highway 97C on Nov. 16 as 44-year-old Martin Lewis Schultz, a resident of Penticton.

Schultz was the only occupant of an SUV travelling westbound about 17 kilometres west of Merritt. At about 1:30 p.m., the vehicle went out of control and sideswiped a tractor-trailer travelling in the opposite direction.
Schultz was deceased at the scene, the coroners office said.
Coroners and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the incident.
