Walloper rest area, just off the Coquihalla Highway on Highway 97D will be receiving $50,000 worth of upgrades courtesy of government of B.C.

The money will provide for new picnic tables, and accessible washrooms.

“This is great news for travellers, just ahead of the Canada Day long weekend which marks the official start of the high-traffic summer season,” said Jackie Tegart, MLA for Fraser-Nicola in a press release. “Thank you to the local residents and the representatives of the District of Logan Lake and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District who lent their support to this improvement project.”
