The number of active cases of the coronavirus dropped to 780 on Thursday, the first drop in 21 days.

It fell by eighteen cases, from 798.

Deputy Health Officer Reka Gustafson and Minister of Health Adrian Dix announced the daily numbers at their daily press conference.

There are 80 new cases of COVID-19 in BC, though none of them were in the Interior.

The vast majority of new cases were in both Vancouver Health and Fraser Health.

Two new deaths in the province were announced.
