It’s been scoring by committee up till now as no one or two players are lighting things up for a goal-starved Cents’ team that has the second lowest total in the entire league.

This has been, and may continue to be, the Centennials’ Achilles heel. Both the powerplay and the penalty kill have been as inconsistent as heck through the first 37 games: sometimes red hot, sometimes stone cold.

A rookie-laden blueline brigade struggled a bit in the early going, but has sparkled through the last two months. The Cents’ GAA is down to a very impressive 3.05 per game.

This year’s Merritt Centennials’ team oozes character, talent and potential.
