A total of 10 teams from five area elementary schools took part in School District #58’s 2nd Annual Sash Relay, held last Wednesday at Merritt Bench Elementary School. Each team was comprised of five runners (with a minimum of two boys and two girls on each team). Each runner ran one lap (1km) of a roads-and-trails course wearing a colorful sash that was handed off to the next runner on the team.
When all the racing was done, it was the host Bobcats who emerged victorious, winning both the team title and the individual fastest laps for both boys and girls.
