The Merritt Centennials will host their annual Mental Health Awareness Night on Friday, March 4, as they go head-to-head against the Vernon Vipers.

The Mental Health Awareness Night has been an annual event that the team has hosted in support of the Ty Pozzobon Foundation.

The Cents look to bounce back coming from a loss against the Penticton Vees while the Vipers will try to add another win in their column.

Nicola Valley Family Therapy will make an appearance to share information about mental health as well as The Pozzobon family doing the ceremonial puck drop.

The TY Pozzobon foundation will also be selling merchandise and receiving proceeds from a 2$ raffle of a jersey signed by the Centennials.

Ty Pozzobon was a Professional Bull Rider who grew up in Merritt, BC. Unfortunately, he would eventually suffer from Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), the first confirmed case in a bull rider, and would lead to his passing on January 2017.

Game tickets will be available at the gate or you could also purchase them at www.merrittcentennials.com and to learn more about the Ty Pozzobon Foundation please visit their website www.typozzobon.com
