Citing privacy, RCMP brass refused to comment on the nature of the investigation into Cpl. Buliziuk.

A call to the Clinton detachment confirmed he is not working.

It is unknown whether he is suspended or on leave.

An RCMP investigator appeared in Kamloops provincial court this week to have a judge order Buliziuk’s firearms remain in the care of Kelowna-based Mounties looking into his case.

Buliziuk’s lawyer consented to the application.

The RCMP investigator, Const. Peter Geldart, said the investigation is ongoing.

“Our investigation continues,” he said. “Regional Crown will be receiving further information from investigators.”

Buliziuk, 30, served in Merritt for about six years prior to taking the top cop position in Clinton in 2014.
