Highway 3 between Hope and Princeton was closed this afternoon due to downed power lines, effectively once again shutting off the Interior from the Lower Mainland.
DriveBC reported the downed lines just before 2p.m. on Jan. 6, between First Avalanche Gate and Sunshine Valley, approximately 16-kilometres east of Hope. Heavy delays are to be expected.
The Coquihalla between Merritt and Hope, which was also closed this morning for a brief period due to a vehicle incident, remains open to commercial traffic only.
