The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has announced the Hwys 3 and 99 are reopening for essential travel on the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 29.

These routes were closed as as precaution ahead of last weekend’s forecasted storms, which had the potential to cause significant damage to infrastructure and possibly jeopardize human life.

Due to ongoing cleanup and repairs, drivers can expect delays on Hwy 3 between Hope and Princeton and only vehicles with a licensed gross vehicle weight under 14,500 kilograms are permitted to travel on Hwy 99 between Lillooet and Pemberton.
