In a press release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry confirmed three more cases of COVID-19 in Interior Health over the past 24 hours.

35 new cases were announced Province-wide, while the total in the Interior grows to 35.

Three new deaths have been announced, all in long-term facilities, for a total of 58 in British Columbia.

Once again, no new long-term care facility outbreaks have occurred.

Though 1,445 cases have now been confirmed in B.C., 905 have now recovered.

“In the middle of a holiday weekend, we are encouraged that people are staying home and avoiding putting unnecessary strain on our smaller, rural and remote communities,” said Dr. Henry. “This is how we can continue to support and protect our loved ones, our elders, and our health-care workers.
