Only essential services will be provided within the City of Merritt during this time.
City staff released a statement Tuesday at noon.
“Essential services include 24-hour fire and policing, wastewater and garbage collection, and communications,” reads the statement. “The Merritt RCMP is encouraging community members to call the Merritt RCMP detachment rather than in person visits unless absolutely necessary.
