Dr. Bonnie Henry announced one new case of the coronavirus in the Interior since yesterday, bringing the total to 197.

Eight new positive cases of COVID-19 were discovered in B.C. over the last day.

Four of the new cases were in Vancouver Health, while the other three were in Fraser Health.

One of the new cases in the province was an adult staff member of an independent school, causing the closure of in-class schooling at the particular school for the year. Staff and students have been notified.

Once again, no new deaths were announced in B.C. over the last day.

There are 190 active cases, however: up five from yesterday.
