For the third week in a row, the number of new cases of COVID-19 in the City of Merritt has dropped.

The BC CDC reported seven new cases in the region from Oct. 17 to Oct. 23, down by ten from the week before.

That puts Merritt in the range of 5.1-10.0 average daily cases per 100,000 population. The highest impacted area in Interior Health was Enderby, with 33 new cases, well above the highest threshold of the BC CDC’s weekly mapping report of >20.0 per 100,000 population.

Within the Interior, South Cariboo, Kettle Valley, and Kootenay Lake all saw zero new cases over the weekly reporting period.
