Over the past three reporting periods, 32 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in BC. There were ten new cases from Friday to Saturday, six from Saturday to Sunday, and 16 from Sunday to Monday.

Dr. Bonnie Henry announced the weekend’s numbers at her usual Monday press conference in Vancouver.

One new death occurred in the province. It is the first death since June 12.

The Interior’s number has risen from 197 to 198 total cases, a jump of one.

Northern Health is the only health region in BC that did not see a new case: as per usual, Fraser Health was hit the hardest over the weekend, with 28 of the 32 new cases occurring in the region.

The number of cases in hospital rose by three to 14, though the number of people in intensive care remains at six.
