Members of the Merritt Centennials presented Merritt Rotary Club President Leslee Lucy with a donation of $2,179 for flood relief victims last week.
The generous funding was a combined effort between fellow BCHL organization the Penticton Vees and the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame.
In Merritt’s game on Nov. 26 against the Vees, their first game back after the mid-November flooding events, the Vees donated their 50/50 and Chuck-A-Puck earnings to the Cents, totalling $904.
The BC Hockey Hall of Fame followed up with a donation of $1,275.
