Smith Pioneer Park was a bustle of activity this past weekend as it hosted not only the Lower Nicola Flea Market, but also the annual Garlic Festival.
There were vendors of all kinds of produce, as well as canned and baked goods. There was also live music, a garden tractor pull and an impressive display by the Vintage Car Club.
The festival has been going for about a decade, hosted by Becky and Pete Ratzlaff. They started the event in their back yard, where they hosted about 600 people. Now a couple of thousand people come out to the two-day event.
