One woman died after her vehicle left the highway and went down an embankment on Highway 97D, 10 kilometres east of Logan Lake around April 13.
Central Interior Traffic Services (CITS) is investigating the fatal crash, but police are still looking for witnesses who may have seen the grey Acura Integra leave the road, stated a news release from the RCMP.
Police believe the crash occurred sometime between the afternoon on April 12 and when the site was discovered, shortly before 11:00 a.m. on April 13.
“At this time, lack of seatbelt use and possible impairment are believed to be contributing factors to the collision,” the release went on to state. “The driver has been identified and her family has been notified.”
Anyone with information regarding this collision who may have been driving on Highway 97D between the afternoon on April 12 and the morning of April 13, including any dash camera video, is asked to contact CITS in Kamloops at 250-828-3111 and quote file 2019-1657.
