Preliminary council results announced, only one incumbent re-elected

The race for City Council in Merritt has come to an end, with preliminary results being released by Chief Elections Officer Greg Lowis. Dana Egan, Paul Petroczi, Wendy Charney, Adam Etchart, Manuel Olguin, and Claire Newman make up Merritt’s new City Council.

Preliminary results for Mayor have been released, with Mike Goetz beating out incumbent Linda Brown. The same can be said for School Trustee, with incumbents John Chenoweth and Gordon Swan joining newcomer Justin Jepsen on the Board of Education.
