Seven new cases of COVID-19 tested positive in B.C. in the last day.

The number of new cases represents a low that the Province has not seen since March 12.

Again, no new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Interior over the last 24 hours. Dr. Bonnie Henry’s daily update on Thursday, the number of total cases in the Interior remained at 179.

Other B.C. health regions:

Vancouver Health: 874 (+1)

Fraser Health: 1124 (+6)

Island Health: 126 (same)

North Health: 54 (same)

There have been 2,360 total cases in B.C. 1,832 have fully recovered, or 78-percent.

One more deaths in the Province were confirmed. It was not in the Interior, and was a resident at a long-term care facility.

There are 19 long-term & acute care facilities outbreaks, a number that has generally been dropping as of late, with 482 total cases.

63 people are in hospital for the coronavirus, three less than yesterday. 16 are in intensive care, a drop of two.

The news comes on Nurses Day, with Dr. Henry acknowledging the work they have done across the Province.
