Merritt’s own PGA pro has a chance on Sunday.
Roger Sloan heads into round three of the Bermuda Championship at a score of -5, making the turn tied for sixth place.
Seeing only three bogeys in total on his card through the first two rounds, Sloan closed out Friday at a score of -1 after what was a stellar opening round.
Friday saw two birdies on the back nine to keep Sloan’s streak going of under-par golf.
He sits three strokes back of leaders Ryan Armour and Wyndham Clark.
His best finish in 2020 has been a tie for thirteenth at the Safeway Open in September.
