34 new cases of the coronavirus were discovered in the province over the last 24 hours, including thirteen in the Interior.

That brings the total number of cases in the Interior above the 300 mark, to 304.

There are now more than 70 cases linked to the Kelowna exposure.

Dr. Henry said there are close to 1,000 BC residents currently self-isolating due to being exposed to Kelowna’s outbreak.

“As we all know, the BC COVID-19 curve is trending in the direction we do not want it to go, and that is upwards,” said Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry in her Wednesday press briefing.

She added that past numbers have proven that BC residents do know how to flatten the curve, and we must return to keeping distance while socializing, and staying within your bubble.

“Every time you burst your bubble, you are a risk to others.”
