Travellers on Hwy. 1 the Fraser Canyon can expect delays due to a vehicle recovery taking place between Anderson River Mainline and Thomas Rd.
The road will not be closed but there will be single lane alternating traffic, and drivers are asked to be respectful of traffic control, which are on site 28km north of Yale.
DriveBC reports that there will be an update on this section of road later today at 5p.m.
Conditions on Hwy. 1 are said to be slippery, with ice and compact snow on the route. Multiple vehicle incidents have been reported near Herrling Island, 28km south of Hope. Drivers are urged to use caution or consider an alternate route if they must travel from the Interior to the Fraser Valley.
