BC Wildfire Service is reporting that a wildfire has sparked at Gordon Creek, approximately 25kms northwest of Merritt.
The fire is currently listed as out of control, and no size has been estimated beyond the initial 0.01 hectares originally released and posted on the BC Wildfire Dashboard.
Fire Information Officers are reporting that there are eleven personnel tackling the blaze, supported by two helicopters.
